Petroleum Marine Services Company (PMS) Has Reached a Significant milestone in Deepwater Projects by Completing the offshore works for Phase 10 of the West Delta Deep Marine (WDDM) Gas Field Development Project for Burullus Gas Company.
This achievement positions PMS as the first Egyptian and Arab company capable of executing major deepwater projects that meet international standards.
In record time, PMS successfully brought the Phase 10 wells into production using advanced technologies such as remotely operated underwater vehicles (WROV).
The operations were conducted with the company’s cutting-edge marine units, PMS Mayo and PMS Burullus, working in synchronized operations (SIMOPS) alongside DeepTech’s remotely operated subsea systems.
The project exemplifies a successful public-private collaboration, with PMS teaming up with its strategic partner DeepTech to deliver engineering, procurement, installation, and commissioning (EPIC) services.
These efforts included deploying two subsea power cables at a depth of 660 meters and installing electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical connections to link the wells to production.
This accomplishment represents a turning point for PMS, particularly with the modification of the PMS Mayo marine unit to enable cable deployment using local expertise.
It also highlights the successful partnerships with PETROJET for manufacturing and Longitude Engineering for engineering studies.
Aligned with PMS’s strategy to enhance its competitiveness and upgrade its marine units, this achievement supports the increasing demands of deepwater oil and gas projects. Furthermore, it contributes to the realization of Egypt’s Vision 2030 while elevating the global reputation of Egyptian companies.
